This is what I did: Testing all printing is correct. It is.
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install foomatic-filters The first printjob printed the text normally but ignored the top margin. Activated debugging information according to: "System" -> "Administration" -> "Printing" in the main menu of your desktop. The printer setup tool system-config-printer will open. Select "Server Settings" in the list on the left. Then check the checkbox "Save debugging information for troubleshooting" and click "Apply". Printed the same document. Just an errormessage was printed (see attached scan). Copied /var/log/cups/error_log and attached it also. Printed the document again. The printjob appears in the queu. But printer does not respond. No print output at all. After switching off and on the printer, the printer prints once the error message as attached. Any more printjobs are completely ignored. I have to reinstall a systembackup for normal printing again. Printing is as usual. Conclusion: Just the installation of foomatic is triggering the bug. Good luck with this info.
