at the moment i use kind of a workaround.
it's not nice but works so far:
lock your screen with the command: <Ctrl>+<a> <CTRL>+<x>
screen will not terminate but it wont show
Screen used by <USER> on <HOSTNAME>.

but you can reactivate screen by typing your password and press return.
** Also affects: ubuntu
