I have filed another bug about not displaying file information.
The present bug report also mentions some other sophisticated features
that are found in bug #263338
However, just showing information in the overwritting prompts is a much
simpler issue.
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: nautilus
- when copying or moving files Nautilus doesn't show file information like date
or size if it asks to overwrite or skip a file, it's impossible to decide
without that information.
- also if i copy or move files from different locations to one folder with
Nautilus and there is already a file with the same name (but other content) it
is not possible to tell Nautilus to rename the file (and all following
conflicts).

+ ( Edited by another user: The following part is invalid as it is a
+ duplicate of bug #263338 )
