Oh, forgot one thing: On resume under Lucid, networking is often - but not always - disabled. I have to option-click the network-manager icon and enable it explicitly. Unplugging and replugging the Ethernet cable doesn't do it, nor does turning the radio on and off. (I usually have the radio off.)
Under Jaunty and Karmic, wired networking was always fine. (Wireless had unreproducible flakiness, but worked most of the time.)
