"Workaround in the mean-time is to uninstall -fglrx and use the open source -ati driver instead"
Is the open-source driver used by default? I've never installed fglrx. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9600. It's my understanding that ATI has stopped support for the Control Catalyst for my card. What exactly do I do then? I've not installed a driver since installing Lucid, but I know my graphics are not working properly (3d games/youtube videos run choppy and medium desktop effects run slow). How do I use the open-source ATI driver if I'm not already using it? -- Does not support current Lucid kernel (2.6.32) or xserver (1.7) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/494699 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
