Almost completely fixed by just removing /etc/X11/xorg.conf. See Question #105202 for details.
Now, I have text terminals and the system resumes correctly. At this point, bug report could be summarized as this: 1. Invokation of "suspend" using hotkey XF86Sleep fails, it just turns the screen off. 2. Closing lid is not obeying "energy preferences". For instance, it does nothing when it is configured to turn the screen off. Additional information, laptop HP Pavilion dv2000 / 9.10: "suspend" using fn hotkey hotkey only works if keyboad shortcut for "suspend" is not set, if I set it to XF86Sleep it fails, it just turns screen off. -- Suspend/Resume problems in 9.10 for Compaq nx6110 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/522077 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
