There has been no activity on this bug report for over 60 days, and there was
almost a full year between the last two comments. It's probably time to close
it once and for all (status is Triaged for Linux (Ubuntu), but just in case....
If anyone is experiencing this exact problem with Karmic or Lucid, please run
the following command:
apport-collect -p linux 43961
in a terminal window.
If anyone is experiencing a similar problem - but not this exact problem -
please attempt first to find a bug report that matches the problem you are
experiencing; if you find such a report, please attempt to provide any
information by the developers, including possibly running "apport-collect -p
linux theBugNumber".
If you do not find such a report the behavior your are experiencing, please
open a new report as described in

Please do NOT attach new information to or otherwise update this report with
workarounds or information related to other bugs.
I will mark this bug as invalid in two weeks if there are no relevant updates.
