Tooltips should not be removed, particularly from a Long-term release.
This is an accessibility issue. It should be possible to know what icons
indicate quickly and easily.

Furthermore, I note that one of the argument seems to be to "reduce
clutter". But tooltips are not cluttering the screen - they only appear
when you want them to.

I am opposed to this bad decision and I hope that tooltips will not be
removed. At the very least, put it to some kind of vote to the Ubuntu
community.
