FODT is "Flat ODT", in which the file is non-compressed. It's much
larger, but makes it easier for the software to save and access parts of
it in large files.

However, I've followed the bug elsewhere, and learned that FODT isn't
supported by OO, so I've given up using it and I'm not going to try to
solve this bug.
