Hmm, I'm a bit above my head, here, but I did this command: amixer cset numid=33 off
and now 'amixer' shows this: Simple mixer control 'IEC958',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined penum Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [off] And the front headphone jack is still not working.
