Hmm, after running following commands: sudo dpkg-reconfigure libpaper1 (and selecting letter) sudo service cups stop sudo service cups start
And setting up the printer again in cups web interface we get "letter" as DefaultPageSize in the PPD. So it looks like the exact paper name reported by libpaper is used after all ... The Adobe PPD specification has a table of registered mediaOption keywords all starting with first letter uppercase, so A4 and Letter should be used for DefaultPageSize and not a4 and letter! Please don't report upstream to mike, let's see what the cups package maintainers have to say about it. -- PageSize defaults to "a4" instead of "A4" on karmic, retruned by libpaper https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/540119 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
