Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

Hy.

I ren update-manager -d and received the following two messages in the
'install the upgrades' section of updating ubuntu to 10.04 lucid lynx.

The message provided by the update manager was:

Could not install
'/var/cache/apt/archives/fglrx_2%3a8.721-0ubuntu7_i386.deb'

The upgrade will continue but the
'/var/cache/apt/archives/fglrx_2%3a8.721-0ubuntu7_i386.deb' package may
not be in a working state. Please consider submitting a bug report about
it.

I forgot to copy the rest of the message but as far as I can remember it
was: subprocess returned signal 2

Then it continued to install and after a while a new popup message said:
Could not install 'fglrx'

The upgrade will continue but the 'fglrx' package may not be in a
working state. Please consider submitting a bug report about it.

no package named `fglrx' is installed, cannot configure

System info:
ubuntu 9.10 32bit
intel core2 duo
ati radeon graphics card
computer: dell studio 1535 laptop

hope this helps.

regards,

Domen
