There have been several Realtek fixes applied recently to upstream head, but you'll need to ensure that you're using the latest linux-alsa- driver-modules-$(uname -r) from ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev. Please update tomorrow and retest, then use http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh
