> Is it possible to have a ppa repository in this case ? what would you use in the ppa there? the new version is not in lucid because it's a rewritte with quite some technologies changes so it would be a stability issue and not apply easily on karmic. if the logic used to work in jaunty it should be possible to write a change for 2.28 but it requires somebody having the issue and understanding the change and what needs to be done there
