Has anyone found a fix for this yet? I have tried to install all the following with the same result:
suse 10.2 ubuntu 6.06 ubuntu 6.10 Is there some algorithm for doing the installation that will make the ethernet work -- such as: 1. disable the NIC on boot 2. install Ubuntu from 1'st install disk 3. apply some patch 4. continue installation from now working network?
