I have just also confirmed that problems also still affect hibernate & resume in 10.04 as well as sleep (standby) & resume.
The system appears to hibernate normally - although with no onscreen progress indicators or anything it's hard to say. The sleep LED flashes, there is a lot of disk activity, then the keyboard controller is reset (all keyboard LEDs flash) and the machine powers off. On reboot, selecting 10.04 from GRUB, there is no onscreen indication that it is waking rather than booting, but there is lots of disk activity, followed by the screen flipping into graphics mode. However, only corrupted noise is displayed - a pattern of vertical red stripes - and the system becomes unresponsive. I had to power-off to recover the machine. -- [IBM 26723G0] hibernate/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370935 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
