Thank you for the response. I have the same graphics card as you and have not run into any issues. Can you please go to System > Administration > Hardware Drivers and ensure that the nvidia graphics driver is enabled?
Also, you commented in the description that you see "Ubuntu 9.10 LTS" which does not seem right. Ubuntu 10.04 is the latest LTS that is about to be released, and Ubuntu 9.10 was just a standard release.
