In Feisty vertical scrolling is enabled and horizontal scrolling is
explicitly disabled. I don't know why.
In /etc/X11/xorg.conf just set a value greater than 0 for
HorizScrollDelta option.
Option "HorizScrollDelta" "100"
To enable horizontal scrolling in Firefox follow this guide. (by default
firefox performs back and forward)
