Unfortunately this is not a bug that we can fix, and the nvidia drivers
are not used at all for the splash screen. Plymouth requires KMS to show
a high resolution splash and that is not something available with the
proprietary drivers so a low quality vga16fb framebuffer is used to show
the splash.
