I tried installing 10.04 from the CD (day of release version, I think) on a system with one SATA drive and one PATA drive. The SATA drive was clean; the PATA drive has an older version of Ubuntu and Win2k installed on it.
The install script showed ONLY the SATA drive - it did not give me any opportunity to use the PATA drive.
