With Dell Latitude D505 same result: after booting from the i386 desktop boot CD (downloaded today 5/5 in the morning) and doing nothing but wait: - the Ubuntu boot logo starts up - then a flicker and the screen gets black - Alt-Ctrl F1 up to Alt-Ctrl F12 does not change to a text console => no debug output - Alt-Ctrl Backspace does not show anything - Alt-Ctrl-Del does not work either
