Yep. Pretty much the same problem I am having. I am using a CF-30 Panasonic Toughbook. 2GB RAM, 1.8GHz Intel Centrino Duo.
I tried re-downloading, re-burning to different CD, tried burning from different computer, tried booting it from USB, etc etc. It prompts me for language, of course I select English. Then I down arror to install. After that.... I get a blinking curser on the top left of the screen. Several seconds after that the screen goes black and the system is non-responsive. :-/ I'd like to use this. Right now I am in Afghanistan and it is too taxing to keep downloading the ISO over and over. Guess I am going to have to wait for my SuSE DVD set to get here from the states. :-( -- Ubuntu 10.04 won't install on Dell Latitude D505 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575103 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
