Binary package hint: openoffice.org
File->Export To PDF sometimes appends thousands of empty pages
(containing only header & footer text).
The problem appears to be that if you do
Format->Print Ranges->Edit, and set the print range to $A$2:$C$65535
then the PDF generator will unconditionally format all 65534 rows, even
though only the first few rows have any data.
This is only a problem is with PDF generation. Printing and print-preview do
not include trailing empty rows.
DEMO:
Open the attached demo file. Print or look atPrint Preview, and note that
only 6 pages are present.
Now Export To PDF; the resulting PDF file has 1338 pages.
