I'm away from my system right now, but this is with a running Feisty install (from herd3). No problems with installs until this showed up. The prior kernel install worked great, I have been using the US archive for downloads (not installing from media, installing from download)--I get the same problem in recovery mode. CRC error happens almost as soon as I leave grub, within 5/10 secs of kernel boot. This is in the first line of text I see. Tell me what logs you need & I'll reboot as soon as I get home this evening (about 4/5 hrs from now)
