Luis, that sounds like a separate issue. Perhaps you should open another bug for it? Anyway, I'm inclined to close this bug since I got sound working in Chromium again. I simply went to System -> Sound and switched input. But it seems that other people are having problems upstream so perhaps we should keep it open...?
