Note that this is 2.6.32-02063211-generic not 2.6.32-02063211-generic- pae. Yes, it booted OK. (in low graphics mode due to the nvidia kernel module not being set up for that startup) Q: Are the errors acceptable? Q: Do I need to compile the kernel? Q: Do I need to do something to get the +drm33.2? I noticed that I don't have an initrd.img for 2.6.32-22-generic-pae in /boot. Where do I get it? Why might it be missing? Following advice from elsewhere, I did, as root: cp /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-22-generic /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-22-generic-pae I did not set any permissions for the copied file. This effort did not help. The ...-pae boot still hangs with a blinking capslock light. Q: Should I now turn off the needs upstream testing checkbox? -- kernal 2.6.32-22-generic-pae freezes 2 seconds into bootup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588053 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
