This is still a problem. As you know, date and time are stored in the bios chip. Ubuntu 2.6 15-28-386 on my computer subtracts 4 hours from the time stored in the bios chip when it reads the time. When I enter the correct time using ubuntu software, I belive it subtracted 4 hours from the bios time. I noticed it because I had a dual boot Windows-Ubuntu computer at that time. I installed some automatic upgrades today. It overwrote the ini file and can no longer select the Windows operating system while booting. I hate crapping around with computers that suddenly insist I re- think something that I thought was a done deal.
