Hey Buddy, when i did the up grade something broke on my system, not sure exactly what was it. there was changes made from jaunty to karmic, i remember installing Karmic from scratch, maybe that why mines work out good but still got a few errors while i did so so i made i clean install. I recommend you do a clean install, also you should back up your /etc/ files if needed, and most important separate your home in a partition that way u can all ways do clean install with out the need of backing up you personal files or all the users on your computer, this been working great for me, since i started doing it, if some thing happen with in your desktop configuration, all u may need to do is reset it by deleting the following hidden folders ,gnome2, .gnome2_private, .gconf, ,gconfd, .cconfig, Those steps will allow you to reset ur desktop and Gnome apps settings, in case u don't know how to separate your home dirrectory here are tow videos that may help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40ijcL4YfSc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9SUEH27EDk
Not sure if this will help, but is the best i can do, i had to a clean install, just for me not figuring out that is wrong. it is pain less this way. - Show quoted text - PS: God Bless All Of Us -- package usb-creator-gtk 0.2.12 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572718 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
