Did the instructions mitch gave help? When running a newer version of Ubuntu One then going back to an older version this can cause a conflict in the metadata. The instructions mitch gave should delete the old metadata. Then Ubuntu One should recreate the metadata in the correct format for the version of Ubuntu One you are running.
