Even though the install failed to install grub, it did succeed in wiping out my windows install (It was not supposed to). Not very happy about that, fortunately I did take backups first, but the wife is not pleased.
Even though I said only install on the existing ext3 partition, it looks like it installed on top of the ntfs one.
