They don't need another kernel? Except of course the real-time kernel
that Ubuntu Studio uses. I think it's doable, if you look at what what
the 100% free software distribution Trisquel GNU/Linux does - it takes
the deblobbed kernel and applies Ubuntu-specific changes (ensuring that
they themselves are deblobbed) and I think they're doing a terrific job
at it, too. Maybe something can be coordinated with them in how best to
do this?
