I didn't use a CD, I did an Online update. I logged in as root, and
ran "update-manager -c -d" (and I ran gpg before that).

btw, my ubuntu doesn't boot anymore (kernel panic). I'm a newbie and
I'd have to find out how to get to the partition and the files
requested... (and someday try again hopefully)... with a bootable CD I
suppose.

I think it may have to do with my weird patched grub ???
