I just thought I'd say I don't think this is the root cause of the
problem, contrary to what some folks on bugs and mailing lists have
deduced thusfar -- I have two completely identical HP ProLiant BL460c G5
systems and one exhibits the problem, one does not. Running powertop on
each shows an almost identical output (see above) however one has a load
average of 0.92 doing pretty much nothing, whilst the other has a zero
load average.
