I removed Gwibber 2.31.1 with the couchDB backend because it would not
start under Debian Unstable. Below is pertinent output when executing
gwibber from the command line (note that the application GUI did not
appear in my desktop):

Nevertheless, installing Gwibber 2.31.1 with the SQLite backend works decently
-but note that I had to reinstall because once, after a few days functioning
decently, it suddenly stopped receiving (or displaying?) updates from Twitter.
Anyhow, starting Gwibber/ SQLite from the command line displays the text
notices below _nevertheless_ the application GUI displays in my Debian
Unstable desktop:
