Hi, now I've just tested the microscope with the freshly installed and fully (everything but not grub2) patched (as of 7th July 2010, 11:37 GMT+2) Ubuntu 10.10 alpha1 (64 bit).
Still no luck with getting the USB microscope working. No "/dev/video0" file created. The microscope still shows correctly up like this when typing "ls-usb": "Bus 004 Device 005: ID 1b3b:2936 iPassion Technology Inc. PC Camera/Webcam controller" System log still shows only this line but not any sign of using/inserting any framegrabber module: "Jul 7 11:40:08 ubuntu1010 kernel: [ 1603.720019] usb 4-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 5" Dennis -- USB microscope camera Traveler SU 1071 (ipassion iP2936 1b3b:2936) not recognized https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/528843 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
