Again, the current upstream kernel was installed but though running kernel 2.6.35-999 now, sadly the USB microscope camera Traveler SU 1071 (ipassion iP2936 1b3b:2936) is still not recognized.
These packages were installed with "sudo dpkg -i *.deb" to test the upstream kernel: linux-headers-2.6.35-999_2.6.35-999.201007051223_all.deb linux-headers-2.6.35-999-generic_2.6.35-999.201007051223_amd64.deb linux-image-2.6.35-999-generic_2.6.35-999.201007051223_amd64.deb The system was rebooted with the new kernel. When the microscope is connected to a USB port, "dmesg" shows this line only: [ 159.910018] usb 4-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 There is no /dev/video* file created. Please, what else can I do to assist in getting this fixed soon? Will anybody have a look on this issue? Is there another place to report this? Should we assign additional better tags to this bug or can it be triaged? Thank You in advance.
