I've run the apport command as requested. I apologize for taking a while as I was doing research in Africa and did not have a stable Internet connection.
I can now report that this bug affects openoffice.org Writer as well. I don't know if this bug only exists on my system or if I'm the only person who attempts to cut and paste things other than text. I am now using Lucid and the bug still exists. Steps to produce the bug: 1. Insert graphics, frame, or anything aside from rich text into an openoffice.org document (whether writer or impress). 2. Cut the graphics/frame/whatever you have inserted, using Ctrl-X or the mouse or menu. Notice that it disappears. 3. Type Ctrl-V to paste it. Notice that whatever text you previously copied/cut appears, but not the graphic/frame. So in summary, cut/copy/paste simply does not work for me in openoffice.org. Thanks. ** Summary changed: - Cutting a presentation slide does not put it in the clipboard + Cutting graphics, frames, or slides in Writer or Impress removes from document but does not put the cut object in the clipboard -- Cutting graphics, frames, or slides in Writer or Impress removes from document but does not put the cut object in the clipboard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/578483 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
