Hi, Please find attached two files. The first one did not shut down when it hit a peak of 097; the system was hot to the touch and you couldnt compfortably rest hands on the keyboard; let alone having it resting on your lap.
The fans didnt speed up during this temperature peak (or at all); this was while watching flash videos in VLC. The second file was a restart (after it had cooled - the system wont boot when warm - it hangs on a flashing cursor in the top left corner). this time I had gmail open in chrome and open office open with a 20page document and a small spreadsheet... it closed down while much cooler; but still hot being in the eighties. in both cases pidgin was running in the background. here is the process list of the system as I am writing this is attached as well. -- Thinkpad T60 overheats https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/584211 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
