Thanks for your bug report. I can't reproduce the issue, the file opens fine on
my Lucid system (both on 64 and 32-bit). Could you try two things?
1. Start openoffice from a terminal (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal)
with
oowriter /path/to/your/file
Are there any error messages?
2. Try with a fresh profile of openoffice, i.e. rename the directory
.openoffice.org in your home directory to something else (Press Ctrl+H to see
hidden files in the file manager).
