  Setting "No sound" in Sound Preferences does not disable GNOME Login Sound.
  
- (I know it can be disabled by unselecting "GNOME Login Sound" via
- System->Preferences->"Starting Applications" , but this does not cancel
- the bug, this is just a workaround. )
