It happened with a document I imported from MS Word which had blue textbackground (text markings) and thus was the text inside white so one could see this text. After I imported this text to openoffice.org and I changed the text background the text didn't change color. That is all. If you start a new document in openoffice.org this behaviour does not occur :)
