As confirmed by ScislaC the crash no longer happens in Inkscape with
cairo 1.9.12.

Please add a comment here and revert the duplicate status if you don't
agree or if the crash reoccurs with newer cairo snapshots and needs to
be addressed in Inkscape's sources as well.
