Even when then running dpkg-reconfigure firebird2.1-classic to set the options, it then displays
* Preparing /var/run/firebird/2.1 . . . [OK] and then hangs again. This time Ctrl-C gets you back to a console prompt but you have to run 'dpgk --configure -a' to fix a problem.
