Here is the whole thing from gedit. The last two lines look like what I
thought they should be...I counted lines in gedit and the next to the
last line IS number 43...why are both of the last two lines identical?
Do I need them both?

I get this when I try to open Synaptic...it doesn't say where to repoort it so 
here it is: E: malformed line 43 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (URI 
parse) E: the list of sources could not be read. Go to the repository dialog to
