Argh...forgot to copy the fixed version to the dkms directory, should be fixed now. Please download http://people.canonical.com/~diwic/temp/alsa-intel-hda-update-diwic-m6500-dkms_1.0.23_all.deb again, install it, reboot and test. Thanks for bearing with me.
