So any ideas about why everything seems to be functioning in Ubuntu, but
there is no sound? I doubt its a hardward fault, as I used to run
Windows on the same machine.
I did some research, I tried applying some of the ac97_quirk values, no
success though. I did not find much about the Realtech ALC658D
specifically. I am unable to test the headphone jack at this time
because the server is in active use and is wired into the network in the
basement. I changed the case the motherboard was in and did not
reconnect front/headphone jack.
