Also, it seems that when you reported the symptom, you did not actually
plug in the disk when it asked you to? there are no events at all in the
udev log; but that's improbable, since it is in the udev db.
Please plug in the disk and give the output of
sudo blkid -p /dev/sda1
sudo blkid -p /dev/sda5
