Hi, sorry that it took so long for me to reply. I now have "new" machine, sold the previous one, I still have the wireless card. I now have Ubuntu 9.10 because I couldn't obtain 10.04 at the moment, the wireless card works out of the box with this version, no need to even install linux-firmware-nonfree. I will try to upgrade to 10.04 and then tell what happened.
