Hi Alex, at the moment I can just say that the problem (bug 637400) MIGHT have been because of not actual repository status or something like; I mean that perhaps running sudo apt-get update might help. I am not sure however and will have to check things and let you know. (All my testings of ubuntu 10.10 Maverick run in LiveCD sessions.)
