I have this bug. the following steps have not resolved the issue (suggested
from the other evince 10.10 bug report):
sudo apt-get install --reinstall evince
sudo apt-get install --reinstall empathy
sudo apt-get install --reinstall glib
--
evince doesn't start anymore
